The most recent edition of the OperaColumbus newsletter included some information regarding a recently-conducted marketing survey done for the company by Buchanan&associates.

Results were mixed. According to the newsletter, "Research results pointed out that people are instead choosing to attend other cultural events or other weekend activities such as a movie or dinner over the opera."

Going on, though: "But an exciting facet to these same consumer responses is that an overwhelming majority said they were looking for something different to do over the weekend or that they wanted a cultural experience."
