Just because you have a coupon does not mean you have to use it. This is a trap that many people fall into. They feel that if they have a coupon for something they must use it. If it is not for something they have intended to buy or need -- they will be wasting money rather than saving it.
For example: I recently received a 30 percent off coupon for Kohl's Department store. I was elated when I received the 30 percent off treasure. The downside was that I really didn't need anything right now. To go to Kohl's and shop just because I had a coupon would be wasteful. So, I offered the coupon to my sister.
The plethora of online as well as print coupons available to us makes it is easy to get carried away and overspend. The whole reason for coupons is to save us money -- not to cause us to overspend.
For now happy shopping!
