The 5-11, 185-pound Massey did a little bit of everything as the Red Devils earned their fifth consecutive Division II playoff appearance.

A first-team all-district selection as a defensive back, Massey also finished with 900 yards and 13 touchdowns rushing and had 12 receptions for 206 yards with four touchdowns.

Massey returned three kickoffs and one punt for a touchdown and also returned a blocked punt for another score.

Massey, who made honorable mention Super 25 last year, helped Marion-Franklin finish 10-2 overall and win a playoff game for the first time.

"He's as good as it gets when he wants to be," coach Brian Haffele said. "I'd put him up there with (former Walnut Ridge stars Gary Russell and Ernie Wheelwright) in terms of ability."
