Shannon Elizabeth Powell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Powell of Upper Arlington, was married to Douglas Paul Rodocker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jeffery Rodocker of Pataskala, on July 4, 2014, at St. Charles Preparatory School's Mother of Mercy Chapel in Columbus. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Benjamin Cieply. A reception was held at the Polaris Hilton Hotel in Columbus.

The matrons of honor were Dana Rowland, sister of the bride, and Lara Filia. Bridesmaids were Kim Powell, sister-in-law of the bride, and Adriana Berger, Cecelia Clarke, Lauren Kupper, Christine Munhall and Elaine Szuch. The flower girls were Juliet Powell and Michela Rowland, nieces of the bride, and Maya Rodocker, niece of the groom.

The best man was John Donnovan. Groomsmen were Andrew Powell, brother of the bride, and Jason Rodocker and Scott Rodocker, brothers of the groom.

The bride graduated from Bishop Watterson High School in 1997 and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Dayton in 2002. She is the vice president of client services for Reputation Management Associates in Columbus.

The groom graduated from St. Charles Preparatory School in 1997 and attended Columbus State Community College and Ohio University. He is the assistant manager of banquet operations at the Polaris Hilton Hotel.

The couple took a wedding trip to Costa Rica.

They reside in Columbus.
