Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse will close April 2 in Crosswoods while corporate officials begin planning for a 90-room hotel and a scaled-down restaurant on the property.

Joe Saccone, a partner in the Cleveland-based Hyde Park Restaurant Group, said the company would invest an estimated $10 million into the project.

Saccone would not disclose the name of the hotel, saying only that it is a mid- to upscale brand.

The current restaurant is about 8,600 square feet and in need of renovations. Saccone said it's too big for Hyde Park's needs at this point. The future steakhouse will be about 5,000 square feet with seating for 150.

He said all employees have been offered jobs elsewhere in the company.
