Weed 'Em and Eat, 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Nature Center. Discover how to identify edible backyard plants and prepare dishes with them.

Off-Trail Walk in the Creek, 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Nature Center. Take a tram ride to the creek, hike off-trail and wade up-stream.
Sunday in the Swamp, 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at the Nature Center. Scoop up slimy swimmers from the buttonbush swamp.
Preschoolers: Riding and Wading, 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at the Nature Center. Take the tram to Blacklick Creek and wade in the stream.

Bird Hike, 8 a.m. Sunday, May 1, at the Nature Center. Search the woods for migrating songbirds like warblers, vireos and tanagers. Naturalists will guide separate beginner and intermediate/advanced groups, so all birders are welcome. Binoculars available.

Homeschoolers: What Makes a Bird, 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Barnebey-Hambleton Picnic Area. Learn about birds by exploring anatomy, feathers and nests. Practice using binoculars and look for birds on the trails. For ages 6-12.
Metro Five-0: Level 3 -- Birding By Ear, 9 a.m. Friday, April 29, at the Barnebey-Hambleton Picnic Area. Listen and watch for birds on the trails and learn some bird songs. Bring a lunch. For ages 50 and older.
Early Risers, 5:45 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Mathias Log Cabin. Look and listen for turkeys, owls and whippoorwills while waiting for the morning songbird chorus. Coffee provided.
Birding for Beginners, 8 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Barnebey-Hambleton Picnic Area. Learn the basics of birding and see how many species can be found on the trails.
Winged Wonders, 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Barnebey-Hambleton Picnic Area. Explore the world of bird flight by examining wings, feathers and live birds.
