The National Alliance on Mental Illness Franklin County will hold two free educational classes on topics including major mental illnesses, medications, coping skills and how to navigate the mental health treatment system.

The first session is a six-week course held from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Sundays, July 10 through Aug. 14, at First Congregational Church, 444 E. Broad St., Columbus. It will cover all topics that are included in the standard 12-week course that will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Aug. 24 through Nov. 16, at Jewish Family Services, 1070 College Ave., Columbus.
