To the Editor:

Just wanted to say thank you to the two young people that found my 70-year-old husband along the side of Reynolds Road on Aug. 2.

He had been biking 30 miles before his front tire blew out going downhill.

Unfortunately he flipped over his bike, cracked his helmet, got a concussion and broke his collar bone and seven ribs.

Fortunately the young couple found him and drove him to his car in Johnstown where I met him and took him to Riverside Hospital near our home in Columbus.

He enjoys riding the roads out from Johnstown, Utica, Homer and Martinsburg and has done it many times. He hopes to be back on the bike by fall.

Unfortunately he does not know the names of the important young people that put him in their pickup truck and helped him.

Our deep appreciation and thanks is extended to them.
