To the Editor:

I see that the UA city fathers were moved to grant 10-percent bonuses to top management.

What a coincidence: My pension fund has also given 10-percent notice -- of a reduction in the coming year. One hundred percent of the seniors in the community face 2016 with a Social Security cost-of-living freeze.

At the same time, council has appropriated $105,000 to increase public relations communications, stating that disconnect remains between the city and its residents. Imagine that! One councilman is quoted referring to those of us who occasionally attempt to interject some common sense as "dug in like ticks."

It would seem that November's partial cleansing of the council was not sufficient. When and where can a "ticked-off tick" go to sign the recall petitions?
