To the Editor:

Through the 51 years I have lived in Upper Arlington, I have marveled at the Upper Arlington Public Library's increasingly diverse patron services and collections. Every week I benefit from its collections of books, magazines and DVDs and from using its computers.

Even more impressive has been that the library's 2-mill operating levy has not increased since it was first passed in 2007.

Through astute planning and management, the library staff has been able to serve a growing number of patrons with an increasing number of options without a tax increase -- just replacement levies every five years.

We can continue to receive these library benefits by voting for Issue 63 on the Nov. 8 ballot. This is not a tax increase, merely a renewal of the levy that has served this community so well for 10 years. Help support Issue 63 and the UAPL.
