The work of Mabi Ponce de Leon, art specialist at Bexley High School, will be exhibited at the Ohio Art League, 1552 N. High St., from Aug. 4-27.

The three-person show entitled "Espejismos ("Mirages") was also curated by Ponce de Leon.

A Bexley resident, Ponce de Leon has been painting this summer in preparation for the show, opening on Thursday, Aug. 4, with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. at the gallery, located in the Gateway Complex just south of the Ohio State University Campus.

Fellow artists whose work will be exhibited are Elena Osterwalder and Micaela de Viveros.

Ponce de Leon teaches Bexley High School's classes in drawing, photography and printmaking, as well as sections of Advanced Placement art history and AP studio art. She also advises the school's Art Club.

She holds bachelor's and master of fine arts degrees in painting and has participated extensively in the local art scene.
