The library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

NATIONAL SCRABBLE DAY

Students in grades 4-6 have an opportunity to celebrate National Scrabble Day from 4 to 5 p.m. April 12.

Guests can play Scrabble, Speed Scrabble, Boggle and other favorite word games.

TRAVEL TALES: MEXICO

Students in grades K-3 are invited to Travel Tales: Mexico from 4 to 4:45 p.m. April 15. Take a trip to Mexico through stories and crafts and hear why coyotes howl at the moon.

LIBRARY BOARD MEETING

The library's board of trustees is scheduled for 5 p.m. April 18 in the board room.

A HOME OF THEIR OWN

William Chavanne, former resident at the Ohio Soldiers' and Sailors' Orphans' Home, will share a video about the home and discuss his experiences as part of "A Home of Their Own."

This program is intended for adults.

FAMILY HELPER MEET AND GREET

Parents looking for occasional summer childcare help can stop by the library from 11 a.m. to noon April 20 for a chance to meet with tweens in grades 5-7 who looking to gain baby sitting experience as a family helper.

FAMILY MOVIE MATINEE

Guests are invited to a matinee showing of Wreck-it Ralph from 2 to 4 p.m. April 20. Popcorn and drinks provided.

TEST PREP

Teens taking the SAT on May 4 can participate in a Test Prep session from 3 to 4 p.m. April 21. Students will get an overview of the library's free online study tools.

MONEY SMART WEEK

Celebrate Money Smart Week at the library with four programs: College Savings Plans and Financial Aid with speakers from Capital University and Fifth-Third Bank, 6 to 8 p.m. April 22; Grocery Savings Workshop with Cleverly Simple, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 23; Making Cents Storytime for Kids, 10 to 10:45 a.m. and 2 to 2:45 p.m. April 23; and Credit Counseling with PNC Bank, 6 to 8 p.m. April 25.

Money Smart Week is a public awareness campaign to promote financial literacy across all age groups.

Launched in 2002 by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the program is now active in more than 45 states through national partnerships with the American Library Association and the Financial Planning Association.
