Adults interested in participating in National Novel Writing Month can kick off the process with a NaNoWriMo Write-in from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the library.

Members of local writing groups will be on hand to answer questions about the writing and publishing process or to suggest writing prompts to keep the writing mojo flowing.


The library will host a Hebrew Storytime during which families will hear stories and songs in Hebrew and English from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3.


A family concert with ProMusica, Musical Mother Goose, is set for 3 to 4 p.m. Nov. 10 at the library.

The ProMusica Woodwind Quintet performs with guest narrator Boyce Lancaster in a musical storytelling of Mother Goose classics and Prokofiev's Peter & the Wolf.


In a small group setting, adults can learn the basic parts of a computer and how to use a mouse and keyboard from 2 to 3 p.m. Nov. 11. Call 614-231-2793 or stop by to register. Registration is required.


Parents and youth in grades 3-6 are invited to a meeting of the Mother-Daughter Book Club from 7 to 8 p.m. Nov. 13.

Read the book Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster, then attend this session to share trivia and conversation about the book.


Youth in grades K-5 can read a book of their choice to a fuzzy, friendly, trained therapy dog from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 14. The program is great for reluctant or struggling readers.
