The library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call 614-231-2793.

OHIO IN THE CIVIL WAR

Cliff Eckle, history curator at Ohio History Connection, will visit from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 21, to talk about Ohio's role in the Civil War and the Follow the Flag exhibit, which features Civil War battle flags.

SUMMER COMMUNITY READ

Library patrons of all ages can sign up for a superhero-themed Summer Community Read starting Wednesday, May 27.

SUPER STUFFIE SLEEPOVER

A Super Stuffie Sleepover is set for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 28. Children can bring their stuffies to a pajama storytime and leave them at the library for a super-hero themed sleepover.

When participants pick them up in the morning, thhey'll get pictures and stories of all the stuffie fun. Register by calling 614-231-2878.

IRON(MAN) CHEF

Tweens and teens are invited to test their culinary skills in an iron chef competition with a special twist from 3 to 4 p.m. May 30. Using only the provided ingredients, create the best dish, in terms of both taste and looks.

YA author and Bexley resident LeighAnn Kopans, author of One and First World Problems, will be at the library to talk about her books, her writing process and what it's like to be an author from 3 to 4 p.m. May 31.
