Bexley police said a resident in the 1000 block of South Remington Road reported someone entered her house March 9 through an unlocked door on the north side and took her purse off a hook on the west side of the door.

The offender(s) dumped the purse in her trash can behind a detached garage but removed her wallet containing $30 cash, three credit cards, her driver's license, an insurance card and miscellaneous membership cards, according to reports.

A resident in the 500 block of Sheridan Avenue also reported someone entered a house through an unlocked door and stole two backpacks that were on the chair in the front room March 9. The backpacks were found at the rear of a residence in the 600 block of Sheridan Avenue on the south side of the garage by the victim. The contents had been dumped on the ground, but nothing was missing, reports stated.

* A resident in the 800 block of South Roosevelt Avenue reported someone stole her 96-gallon trash container from the curb in front of her house March 10 and left another smaller trash container in its place.

* A resident in the 800 block of South Remington Road reported someone entered her unlocked vehicle between March 8 and March 9 while it was parked in the driveway at the rear of her house and stole several items.
