Elon Simms has stepped down after three seasons as coach of theColumbus School for Girls track and field team.

This season, CSG finished third in the CCL meet, second in the Division III district meet, third at regional and tied three teams for 14th at state. Last year, the Unicorns won CCL, district and regional titles.

"Sadly, this is my last year at CSG," Simms said."I will be taking some time off to return to school. It was a little tough watching these girls compete for the last time (at state June 6).However, I truly believe that the school will ensure that these girls are surrounded and supported by great coaches next year.CSG will have a great team based on who we have returning."
