* Daivon Barrow, of Columbus, has been selected as an intern to work directly with Ashland University President Carlos Campo on projects that support the mission and purpose of the university.

Among the projects and responsibilities are assistance with presidential communication, legislative research, social media, student leadership programs, athletics and recreation, walkabouts, Greek life and diversity.

* Tristen Wiles, of Columbus, and Mackenzie Coburn, of Groveport, volunteered for the Muskie Olympics held April 8 at Muskingum University.

* Canal Winchester-area students who earned Distinguished Scholar Awards at Muskingum University's Scholarship Recognition Day on April 10 were Elizabeth Hartman and Kaitlyn Haynes, both recipients of a Fourth Year Award.

Hartman also received the Political Science Top Scholar Award. Scholarship Recognition Day honors Muskingum's best-performing students in academics, research, special projects and service.

* Elise Zimmerman, of Groveport, has been inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa honor society at Muskingum University.
