Annual tree giveaway, 9 to 11 a.m. April 30 at Stradley Park, 36 S. High St. Canal Winchester residents will have the opportunity to pick up a free tree. Event will be held regardless of weather. Limit one tree per household. Proof of residency required.

Kris Sims Memorial Relay For Life Dinner, 6 to 8 p.m. May 18 at the Frances Steube Community Center, 22 S. Trine St., Canal Winchester. Mayor Michael Ebert and City Council members will serve a dinner that will include a house salad and bread, spaghetti and meatballs, iced tea, lemonade, coffee and a dessert. The cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child 10 and younger.

Drug Disposal Day, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30 at Kroger, 6095 Gender Road, Canal Winchester. Residents are encouraged to drive through the Kroger parking lot and drop off unwanted medications with sheriff's deputies. They will accept all unused and expired medications, including pills, liquids, gels and patches.
