Submissions are being accepted for the Ohio History Connection's 2016 Lego Design Challenge.

This year's challenge theme will honor the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act, which has helped preserve the history of U.S. cities and neighborhoods.

Builders of any age or experience level can create a structure based on something built 50 years ago or what they might imagine buildings might look like 50 years from now.

Finalists will be chosen by a team of judges, and the designs will be displayed at one of four partnering organizations in the exhibit "50 Years Past, 50 Years Future."

The deadline for submissions is Sept. 26. For rules and submission guidelines, visit ohiohistory.org/legocontest.
