A car valued at $8,000 was stolen while it was parked in front of the owner's Findley Avenue home, according to Columbus police reports.

A car valued at $8,000 was stolen while it was parked in front of the owner's Findley Avenue home, according to Columbus police reports.

The victim said the vehicle was taken between 10:30 p.m. Feb. 27 and 9 a.m. Feb. 28.

A $3,500 car also was stolen from a private parking lot on Broad Meadows Boulevard between 10 p.m. March 16 and 8 a.m. March 17.

In other recent Clintonville-area police reports:

* A woman said someone smashed her vehicle's driver's-side window and made off with a $1,500 cellphone while the car was briefly parked at a business on East North Broadway at 4 p.m. March 15. In addition, the victim said debit and credit cards, her passport and a pair of prescription sunglasses were removed from the vehicle.
