To help fund local youth-oriented activities, members of the Kiwanis Club of Northern Columbus will host a community fish fry Friday, April 29.

The event will run from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Clintonville Woman's Club, 3951 N. High St.

Tickets for the annual event are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12. This includes an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring Alaskan pollock and smelt, hot dogs, baked beans, slaw, cheese, chips and beverages.

All children will receive a prize.

Tickets will be available at the door.

This is the club's major fundraiser, said spokesman Randy Ketcham. Proceeds from the fish fry help support the annual Easter egg hunt at Whetstone Park, the Pumpkin Patch at the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center, NCIL youth baseball and softball sponsorship, participation in the Special Olympics Summer Games, and Christmas gift wrapping for patients at Nationwide Children's Hospital, among other campaigns.

The Kiwanis Club has been serving Clintonville, Beechwold and Worthington since 1928.
