Watterson High School senior Chris Diaz has signed a national letter of intent to play tennis at Ohio State.

Last season, Diaz finished 31-0 after beating the defending Division II state champion, Alex Fritz of Cincinnati Country Day, 6-3, 6-2 in the state final.

This season, Diaz is playing first singles for the second-consecutive season.

Diaz, who didn't lose a set last season, went 62-1 in singles matches during his first three seasons. He also won the Division I state doubles title with his older brother Philip in 2008 and finished second in the Division I state doubles tournament with Philip in 2009.
