•Introduction to Beekeeping Apprenticeships, 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24. Apiarist Dave Noble will outline the apprenticeship programs, explain his "bee-centered" approach to beekeeping and answer questions. Free, but reservations are required.
•Book Talks, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27. (The fourth Friday of each month.) Librarian Liz Barker will lead the discussion on "Country Life."
•Harvest Fair, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. Live music, hay rides, American mustangs, miniature horses, cake and pie walks, raffles, vendors and more. Cost is $6 adults, $4 children ages 2-12.
•Farm to Fork, 1-3 p.m., Nov. 16. Local chef Mark Zedella will prepare vegetables, grains and other foods with in-season ingredients. Maximum class size is 24; minimum size is six. Cost is $30 per person. Social hour starts at 6 p.m.; dinner at 7:30 p.m. Reservations required. For details, call number above or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
