The Delaware County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will partner with the Union County Emergency Management Agency to host the 2015 National Weather Service Weather Spotter Course, set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at Buckeye Valley West Elementary School, 61 N. Third St. in Ostrander.

The Delaware County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will partner with the Union County Emergency Management Agency to host the 2015 National Weather Service Weather Spotter Course, set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at Buckeye Valley West Elementary School, 61 N. Third St. in Ostrander.

The 21/2-hour class will be taught by a meteorologist from the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Wilmington.

Participants will learn how to protect themselves from flooding, lightning, severe storms and tornado safety.

No registration is necessary for the course.
