Delaware County Administrator Tim Hansley announced today, Dec. 3, he would retire Jan. 15.

Delaware County Administrator Tim Hansley announced today, Dec. 3, he would retire Jan. 15.

Hansley has served as the county's administrator since November 2010. Previously, he served as city manager in Pickerington. He also worked for the cities of Beavercreek, Conneaut, Dublin and Lebanon.

According to a county news release, Delaware County Commissioner Gary Merrell said Hansley's retirement was based on "a variety of factors."

In a written statement to the Delaware County commissioners, Hansley wrote, "I've enjoyed the challenges and successes. I am especially proud of the staff development that has taken place during my tenure."
