* Tanisha Murphy of Delaware was honored April 17 at Ohio Wesleyan University's KuShinda celebration. The OWU Office of Multicultural Student Affairs celebrates KuShinda each spring as a way to recognize outstanding student leadership, academic achievement and community impact.

* Delaware, Lewis Center and Powell students who earned awards for various achievements at Heidelberg University's Student Awards Celebration on April 22 include Anthony Bartko, Purpose Award for athletic training; Enya Granados, George A. Stinchcomb Prize in Natural Science or Mathematics; and Nicole Payne, Prugh Prize in Athletics.

* Lauren Gilcrest of Delaware is a member of the American Chemical Society at Ashland University.

* Delaware and Galena students who recently participated in the annual Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity at the University of Findlay include Zachery Hatten, Melanie Lowers Christopher Miller and Jessica Ward. Undergraduate and graduate students were given the opportunity to share their research, creativity and professional learning experiences with the university and community.

* Andrew Sierawski and Braden Terry of Delaware were inducted into the Baldwin Wallace University chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon, a national mathematics honor society, in the spring 2016 semester.

Sierawski also was inducted into the university's chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society.

* Brian Raiff of Galena has been named to the spring 2016 dean's high honors list at Marietta College. Any full-time student completing at least 15 credit hours with a 3.75 GPA or better in a given semester is recognized on the dean's high honors list for the semester.

* Emily Englehart of Galena was among 1,100 graduates at Coastal Carolina University's commencement ceremonies May 6-7. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in graphic design.
