I would like to extend a thank you to the citizens of Dublin for responding to Dublin Arts Council's request for feedback regarding the installation of the Dublin bicentennial public art project on the Karrer Barn property in Historic Dublin.

Well-thought and insightful comments such as those posted on our blog, and those gathered via videotape, will help shape the artists' creative process as they develop detailed proposals that are sensitive to the site and reflective of the historic space.

I would also like to thank the city of Dublin for its assistance in getting the word out to the community and to the Dublin Chamber of Commerce for its assistance.

The artists, the selection committee and Dublin Arts Council are grateful for the community's participation. I look forward to the artists' presentations from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 4 in Dublin's Abbey Theater.
