Emerald City Players will celebrate its 10th season in 2010 with seven productions, including two musicals.

Ken Ludwig's "Leading Ladies" will take the stage from Jan. 15-30. The comedy follows two English Shakespearean actors trying to get a stake in the fortune of an old lady in Pennsylvania.

The two-character comedy, "Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks," by Richard Alfieri will be staged March 5-20. Auditions for the play will be held Jan. 17-18.

ECP will perform the Broadway hit "Rent" from April 23 to May 8. The musical, by Jonathan Larson, follows seven friends living in New York's East Village for a year.

Auditions for "Rent" are Feb. 21-22.

"Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure" will be staged from June 11-26. The play was adapted by Steven Dietz from the original work on the "world's greatest detective" by William Gillette and Arthur Conan Doyle. Auditions will be held April 25-26.

"A Little Murder Never Hurt Anybody" is slated to run from July 30 to Aug. 14. The Ron Bernas comedy follows a couple after the husband decides his life would be better without his wife. Auditions for the show are June 13-14.

Tennessee Williams' drama "A Streetcar Named Desire" will run from Sept. 24 to Oct 9. Auditions for the literary classic that shows a southern belle's decent into madness are Aug. 8-9.

The 2010 season will end with "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," which is scheduled from Nov. 19 to Dec. 4. The musical about six youngsters vying for the top honor of the spelling bee earned a Tony award. Auditions for the musical are Sept. 26-27.
