Dublin City Council members expect to approve legislation that will name interim city manager and finance director Marsha Grigsby to the permanent position of city manager on Dec. 6.

Council members met Nov. 22 in a special meeting and asked city staff to prepare legislation that will name Grigsby city manager.

According to city officials, Grigsby will start with a base salary of $180,000 annually, with a 7-percent incentive at the end of the first year, 10 percent incentive at the end of the second year and 15 percent at the end of the third year.

Grigsby has been acting as interim city manager since the departure of Terry Foegler in September. She received a 30-percent pay supplement to her annual salary of $131,832 for serving as interim city manager.

Grigsby also served as interim city manager from December 2001 to August 2002 and from September 2008 to February 2009.

"Marsha's long tenure with the city of Dublin, her proven experience as a three-time interim city manager and her conservative approach to fiscal management were among the reasons Grigsby was chosen to serve as Dublin's fourth city manager," said Mayor Tim Lecklider.
