Taste of Dublin will celebrate its 10th anniversary with food and drinks from more than 30 restaurants and caterers.

The May 17 event, hosted by the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and young professionals group NextGen Dublin, is expected to draw more than 1,000.

"This year we're celebrating the 10th anniversary," chamber chief operating officer Jenny Jakse said. "The chamber hosts the event basically to foster relationships in the business community. Anyone who works in Dublin is invited to come."

The Dublin chamber is the largest suburban chamber in the state, Jakse said, and it could see as many as 1,500 patrons at Taste of Dublin.

"It's really to bring the business community together," she said. "It's a wonderful event in the Duke Realty atrium. It's a beautiful facility. It was just remodeled. It's an indoor and outdoor event, rain or shine."

Restaurants serving up fare on site will include Aboxa Fudge, Creno's Pizza, Der Dutchman Catering, Digger & Finch Pub, Dublin Village Tavern, The Foodsmiths Catering, J. Liu Restaurant & Bar, Java Jan Gourmet Coffee, Morgan House Restaurant, Our CupCakery, Party Panache, Pino Gelato Bistro and The Sisters Sweet Shoppe.

While food and drinks will be on tap throughout the event, Jakse said, attendees also would have an opportunity to enter the "Dine Fine in Dublin" raffle.

"We have a couple of different things that go hand in hand with the Taste of Dublin," she said. "The Dine Fine in Dublin raffle is for the civic foundation. Many of the (restaurant) participants donate gift certificates for the raffle."

Proceeds from the raffle help fund scholarships awarded to Dublin City Schools students during the Community Champion Awards. A scholarship in the name of Marina Davis has been added to the lineup to honor the Scioto High School principal, who died in 2009.

"We just had 189 students and staff receive awards," Jakse said of the April 16 event. "We gave around $7,000 in scholarships that day."

Raffle tickets for Dine Fine in Dublin may be purchased at Taste of Dublin or by calling the chamber office at (614) 889-2001.

Tickets to Taste of Dublin are $20 for chamber members and $30 for others if purchased by May 6. Starting May 7, tickets are $25 for members and $35 for others. Tickets also may be purchased online at dublinchamber.org.

Jakse said the tickets include food and beverages.

"This is a good way for the business community to get together or catch up with friends you haven't seen in a while," she said. "This is not a family event. It's for business professionals. It is one of the larger networking events of the year."

Taste of Dublin will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. May 17 at the Duke Realty Corp. Atrium II Building, 5455 Rings Road.
