Camp Invention will come to two Dublin elementary schools this summer.

The national day camp supported by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and National Inventors Hall of Fame will be at Olde Sawmill Elementary School June 15-19 and Glacier Ridge Elementary July 20-24.

The camp, this year themed "Illuminate," will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for five days.

Registration for the program is $240.

The camp is open to children in grades 1-6 with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math, and includes outdoor activities.

At the camp, children will get to take things apart, build things, explore technology and solve problems, a news release from the camp said.

The Illuminate curriculum used this year will allow campers to learn about circuits and participate in a nature-inspired design challenge.

Camp Invention has more than 1,300 locations across the nation and is taught by local educators.
