Dublin-based MBA Focus recently received incentives from the state for an expansion.

The software company, which connects employers with business-school students and alumni, is planning to invest about $200,000 in its Dublin headquarters and was approved last week by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority for incentives valued at $53,000.

The company will merge with CSO Research, an undergraduate career-service software firm in Austin, Texas.

MBA Focus plans to add more than 25 new jobs to its staff of 27 and expand its offices at 5980 Wilcox Place.

The expansion is expected to retain $2.3 million in annual payroll and generate an additional $1.1 million per year.

The company was approved for a 40 percent, five-year Job Creation Tax Credit.

"The Columbus region provides a strong anchor for growth nationwide, so we're thrilled to expand here," Jack Gainer, CEO of MBA Focus, said in a news release from Columbus 2020.

New jobs will include marketing, sales, finance, software development and customer service.

Dublin is expected to offer additional incentives, and an economic development agreement could go before Dublin City Council this month, according to Columbus 2020.
