The Dublin Arts Council will accept applications for Community Arts Grants through Oct. 16. The process, open to local nonprofit arts organizations, is part of the arts council's commitment to supporting the arts in Dublin, a news release from the group said.

Organizations eligible for the grants much be 501(c)3 nonprofits registered with the state and based in Dublin. Programs, events and activities for grant funding is encouraged to meet the following criteria: providing education, enriching the community, developing audiences and supporting artists.

Applications must be turned into the arts council, 7125 Riverside Drive, by 5 p.m. Oct. 16.
