The Dublin Pet Fair will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at Coffman Park Pavilion, 5568 Coffman Park Drive.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and funds for area animal rescues and animal shelters and provide an educational and entertaining event for the public. The fair is not for profit; money made from the raffles and refreshments is donated to the attending rescues and advocacy groups.

Local veterinarians will provide a microchip clinic, and the Dublin K-9 Unit will demonstrate skills and training. Local agility groups and canine assistance programs will demonstrate what their dogs can do, and a canine parade with several contests for dogs and their humans will take place. Pet-related vendors will showcase their products and services, and a raffle and bake sale to benefit the rescues present also will be held. Admission is free.
