A 20-year-old Dublin man was charged with assault after shoving an officer while in custody at the Dublin Justice Center, 6351 Perimeter Drive at 1:24 p.m. Dec. 30.

Dublin police arrested the man after someone contacted them about erratic driving. Police located the car and the driver admitted to smoking marijuana before driving.

Police also found marijuana in his car, reports said.

The man became agitated while he was in the Justice Center and began verbally threatening police.

The man also slammed his cell phone on the ground numerous times and when police ordered him to sit down he would not. Police tried to handcuff the man, but he shoved an officer.

Dublin police used a TASER on the man to get him to comply.

* A business in the 6300 block of Perimeter Loop Road reported the theft of a vehicle between noon Dec. 21 and midnight Dec. 28.

The car, valued at $94,805, was left unlocked, police reports said.

A Defiance, Ohio, man is listed as a suspect in the theft.

* A Dublin woman said someone stole her car from the driveway of her residence in the 4100 block of Wyandot Woods Boulevard between 3 and 7:45 a.m. Dec. 29.

The woman said the car was unlocked and might have had an extra set of keys under a seat.

* A man reported the theft of a $10,000 watch from a residence in the 4800 block of Lytfield Drive between 6:30 a.m. Dec. 22 and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 28.

The man suspects movers might have stolen the watch while they were in the house picking up things to be moved to another residence.

* Two sanders, a socket set and grinder were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 5600 block of Blazer Parkway between 7:30 p.m. Dec. 27 and 7:56 a.m. Dec. 28. The lock of the van was broken to get in.

* A Dublin couple said someone stole $200 from a purse and wallet at their residence in the 7600 block of Bellaire Avenue between 7 p.m. Dec. 27 and 4 a.m. Dec. 28.

The women reportedly noticed her purse and her husband's wallet were gone from their usual position and found a towel placed over a motion detector.

The wallet and purse were found on a couch near an exit, less the cash. Credit cards and gift cards were not stolen.

The man said doors to the residence might have been unlocked.

* A Dublin man reported someone entered the open garage at his residence in the 6900 block of Post Preserve Boulevard between 8:55 and 9:15 p.m. Dec. 31 and stole $25 from his wife's car.
