On May 6, the Dublin Alumni Association's Hall of Fame will induct six new members.

All of the inductees excel in their fields, but at the core, they are good people who are helping make the world a better place, said Todd Hoadley Dublin City School District superintendent.

"Some of the names are very recognizable," he said.

The ceremony will be held along with the 50-year reunion of the class of 1966 at 6 p.m. at the Columbus Marriott Northwest in Dublin.

Those to be inducted include:

* Jeremy Bobb, actor and 1999 Dublin Coffman High School graduate.

* Joe Fox and John Nichols, entrepreneurs and 2000 Coffman graduates.

* Tess Schuster, co-founder and vice president of Marketing of Libre LLC and distribution campaigns consultant for Nationwide Financial, a 2005 Coffman graduate.

* Donna Hull, head athletic trainer from 1982 to 2015 at Dublin High School and Coffman and Dublin Scioto high schools.

* Brady Quinn, philanthropist and former NFL quarterback, a 2003 Coffman graduate.

Hoadley said the inductees represent different areas the district offers students: academics, athletics and arts.

Quite a few members of the community thought this year's nominees were deserving of recognition, said Stacey Holderman, Dublin City Schools Alumni Association director.

"We have a great class," Holderman said. "Most of these inductees had two, three, four nominations apiece."

In addition to his role as sports analyst, Quinn and his wife formed the 3rd and Goal Foundation, a veterans' housing assistance program.

Bobb will appear in Zack Braff's film Going in Style as well as HBO's Mosaic, directed by Steven Soderbergh. He's also appeared on TV shows such as The Good Wife, Elementary and House of Cards.

Fox and Nichols assisted in designing the district's video and multimedia production program, and Ohio Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame member Hull was responsible for designing much of the district's athletic healthcare and team physician programs.

With three other Miami University alumni, Schuster created Libra, a clothing line for chemotherapy and dialysis patients.

About 15 people are usually part of the selection committee, Holderman said. Members can include former Hall of Fame inductees, Alumni Advisory Board members, teachers, principals, administrators and past Alumni Association directors.

Inductees are selected for their contributions in their respective fields as well as how they've given back to their respective communities, Holderman said. Dublin schools graduates and non-graduates can be considered.

In the case of non-graduates, the Hall of Fame selection committee looks at how nominees have given back to the Dublin community and school district.
