The Dublin Jerome High School girls tennis team clinched its 12th league title in its 12-year history.

The Celtics cruised to a 5-0 victory over Canal Winchester on Sept. 8 to finish 7-0 in the OCC-Cardinal Division.

Jerome beat Olentangy 5-0 on Sept. 9 and was 13-0 overall before playing Wellington on Sept. 15 and Hilliard Davidson on Sept. 16.

Posting wins against Olentangy were Ellee Bullock (first singles), Vicki Chang (second singles), Erin Zhao (third singles), Stephanie George and Emily Neal (first doubles) and Charlotte Berman and Natalie Gomez (second doubles).

"Winning an OCC title is always a big deal for us," coach Tyler Stephen said. "The teams before this one have set a precedent for us to follow, and we always take (the) conference seriously."

Irish finish second in OCC-Cardinal

Scioto was 11-2 overall before playing Upper Arlington B on Sept. 15 and Pickeington North on Sept. 16.

The Irish defeated Hilliard Darby 5-0 on Sept. 8 to finish second in the OCC-Cardinal at 6-1. Their only league loss came against Jerome, 5-0 on Sept. 1.

Winning against Darby were Harunya Ravindran (first singles), Ashley Lambillotte (second singles), Sugamya Juvigunta (third singles), Sina Musie and Penny Carver (first doubles) and Nikhi Loka and Gia Winters (second doubles).

'Rocks entered week on winning streak

Coffman defeated Scioto 5-0 on Sept. 10 to extend its winning streak to seven matches.

The Shamrocks were 10-2 overall before playing Olentangy Orange on Sept. 15 and Worthington Kilbourne on Sept. 16.

Coffman defeated Westland 5-0 on Sept. 8 to improve to 5-1 in the OCC-Central.

Winning against the Irish were Nethra Thenappan (first singles), Nari Johnson (second singles), Victoria Fan (third singles), Skylar Moore and Ashley Tan (first doubles) and Summer Asad and Jessica Flynn (second doubles).
