Ken Berlin has been selected to take over the Dublin Jerome High School boys and girls tennis teams, pending school board approval.

An assistant the last two seasons at New Albany, Berlin will replace Tyler Stephen, who stepped down at the end of the girls tennis season.

Stephen, a 2008 Otterbein University graduate, is taking over his college alma mater's men's tennis program. He had been the Jerome girls coach the last five seasons and the Celtics boys coach the last four seasons.

Under Stephen, the girls team won four Ohio Tennis Coaches Association state team titles in five seasons.

"It's definitely one of the top, if not the top program in central Ohio," Berlin said. "It's definitely a fantastic opportunity that I couldn't pass up."

Before serving at New Albany, Berlin was the Coffman boys coach in 2013 and the Worthington Kilbourne girls coach from 2011-13.

He is a 1997 graduate of Twinsburg and played four seasons for Hiram College.

Berlin is a full-time instructor at the Racquet Club of Columbus.
