Those who applied by the May 31 deadline and their current occupation are:

Tyler Arnold, teacher

• John Barren, managing director

• Chris Butsky, military officer and information-technology manager

• Cameron Close, mobile-application developer

• Mary Dixon, retired school psychologist

• Kimberly Eckert, finance director

• Ann Ferguson-Killilea, sales and marketing

• Jeffrey Gilger, consultant/small-business owner

• Joseph Gottron, executive vice president/chief administrative officer

• Bryan Hairston, accountant

• Virginia (Jeannie) Hoffman, small-business owner/Uber driver

• Catherine Hope-Cunningham, Realtor/solar-energy consultant

• Ryan Jolley, business developer

• Gordon Kaylor, mortgage-loan officer

• Ann Kneidinger-Flaherty, philanthropist/accounting

• Alfred Navarro, retired

• Kelly Schmidt, self-employed/homemaker

Schuler said she resigned from her position due to increased professional responsibilities and family obligations.

Under state law, the board is required to fill the vacancy at its regularly scheduled meeting June 9.
