Gahanna police responded to a domestic incident involving a man "bear hugging" a woman to try to defuse an argument at 11:33 p.m. Dec. 28 at an apartment in the first block of Town Street.

A female was yelling and crying, according to a report. A neighbor said the yelling went on for 20 minutes. Police made contact and learned a couple was in an argument. The man had hugged the woman in an effort to de-escalate the situation, reports said.

* Two trucks were broken into overnight and products were taken on Claycraft Road, according to a theft report received at 2:21 p.m. Dec. 28. Police were checking for external cameras, according to reports.

* A Dunbarton Road resident reported a juvenile was out of control and threatening a woman at 11:58 a.m. Dec. 24. Police talked with the juvenile, reports said.

* A suspicious vehicle was reported at Friendship Park, 150 Oklahoma Ave., at 12:02 a.m. Dec. 24. Police found a person playing the Pokemon game on a cellphone, reports said.

* A manager of a business in the 400 block of Agler Road asked that a man be trespassed from the property at 9 a.m. Dec. 23. He said the man was "pretending to shop" and may have put items down his pants, even though the manager didn't witness an actual theft. He said there was a beep when the man exited the business, reports said.

* A car on Ellington Circle was egged between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., according to a vandalism report received at 6:36 a.m. Dec. 22.
