The Ohio Historical Society will host several holiday events during November and December.

During "Get the Picture: Holiday Card Photography" 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, a photographer will snap family holiday photos in a life-sized vintage holiday greeting card. An image will be provided on CD for $14.50.

Clement Moore, of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" fame, will be at the center for an Echoes in Time Theatre presentation. Moore, portrayed by Ronald St. Pierre, will talk about his life and how his family inspired his classic holiday poem. Performances are at 7 and 8 p.m. Thursdays, Dec. 4, 11 and 18. Free with admission.

At the "Holiday Craft Workshop," held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, participants will make holiday decorations such as beeswax ornaments, pomanders, beaded snowflakes, cut-out snowflakes, Moravian stars and miniature gingerbread houses. Ages 14 and up are welcome. The cost is $30 per person, or $20 for Ohio Historical Society members. A boxed lunch is available for $12. Reservations requested.

"The Pleasure of the Cup" will be held from 7-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Ohio Village. Sample quirky concoctions at this old-fashioned pub crawl. Participants must be 21 years of age. Regular admission is $30, or $25 for members.

The society's "Rockwell's America" exhibit can be experienced in perfect harmony as the sounds of the Music Men Barbershop Quintet fill the exhibit with song during "Harmony for the Holidays." The quartet will entertain with a cappella singing throughout the center from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, and 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, as well as several dates in January and February of 2009. Costumed interpreters will bring Christmas in the Victorian era to life during, "Dickens of a Christmas," held the weekends of Dec. 12-13, and 19-21. The event hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Event features caroling, holiday crafts, storytelling and entertainment. Admission is $12 for adults, $9 for children, $10 for adult members and $7 for child members.

"Dickens of a Dinner" will be served at 6 p.m. Dec. 12-13 and 19-20. "Christmas Brunch" will be held at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21. The society will also stage a dinner theater production of "Dickens of a Mystery" from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 17-18. Dinners are $57 for adults and $47 for adult members. The brunch is $35 for adults and $15.95 for children ages 6-12. Members are $28 for adults and $12.95 for children. Reservations are requested.
