Preschoolers: The Buzz About Bees, 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Ridge Lodge. Learn how bees find the sweetest flowers for nectar through a story, song and craft.

Birding at its Best, 8 a.m. Saturday at the Indian Ridge bulletin board. Enjoy a morning chorus of warblers, finches, orioles and other birds.

Wildflowers of Spring, 1 p.m. Saturday at the naturalist's office. View trillium, trout lilies, Dutchman's breeches and other wildflowers on a two-mile hike.

Howl at the Moon, 7 p.m. Saturday at the Pleasant Valley bulletin board, 9137 state Route 62. Take a two-mile hike with your dog.

Open 'Til Midnight, Saturday at the Pleasant Valley bulletin board, 9137 state Route 62. The Pleasant Valley area will be open until midnight for fishing, hiking, stargazing and pet hikes, on the last Saturday of each month from April to September.

Just for Kids: Dead Skunk, 10 a.m. Saturday at the Nature Center, for ages 9-12. Learn about the role of decomposers as you observe a simulated roadkill.

Preschoolers: Gosling Walk, 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Nature Center. Walk like a goose on a .6-mile path to Thoreau Lake to see geese and their goslings.

Welcome back, Ospreys, 2 p.m. Saturday at the Glacier Knoll Picnic Area. Observe the ospreys on and around the nest and discover how they survive at the park and during their 2,500-mile migration.

Howl at the Moon, 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Glacier Knoll Picnic Area. Bring your dog for a two-mile walk.

Metro Five-0: Biking and Birding, 2 p.m. Sunday at the Glacier Knoll Picnic Area, for ages 50 and older. Take a six-mile bike ride with stops along the way to look for, listen to and learn about migrating songbirds.

Coffee Cruise, 9 a.m. Saturday at the Apple Ridge Picnic Shelter. Enjoy snacks and coffee on a tram ride as you look for wildlife.

Metro Five-0: Happy Hour Tram Ride, 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Schrock Lake picnic shelter, for ages 50 and older. Take a ride through the park to search for signs of spring.

Fishing Day, 1-3:30.m. Sunday at the Buzzard's Roost Picnic Area, for ages 15 and younger. Try your hand at fishing Buzzard's Roost Lake. Some poles and bait provided.
