Columbus police received a report that a $10,000 Nissan Altima, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen between 11:30 p.m. April 23 and 10 a.m. April 24 from the 1000 block of South Pearl Street.

Columbus police received a report that a $10,000 Nissan Altima, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen between 11:30 p.m. April 23 and 10 a.m. April 24 from the 1000 block of South Pearl Street.

The victim stated she parked the vehicle in front of her house and likely dropped the keys somewhere on the street, according to Columbus Division of Police incident reports. She woke up the next day to find her car and keys missing.

In other recent Columbus Division of Police incident reports from the German Village area:

* Between 9:50 p.m. April 21 and 5:30 a.m. April 22, someone stole two purses valued at $240 total, two wallets valued at $100 total, $50 cash and various credit cards from a house in the 300 block of Forest Street.

The victims told police the suspect unsuccessfully tried to enter through the kitchen window.

The suspect then pried open the sliding door, causing $300 in damage, and entered the residence.

One of the victims told police one of the credit cards was later used without his authorization.

* A 19-year-old Columbus man was arrested at 2:54 p.m. April 22 after he tried to flee police officers after they tried to question him at the intersection of Jaeger and East Gates streets.

The man was charged with obstructing official business.

* Several vehicles were vandalized on Seibert Street. The incidents included: between 6:30 p.m. April 22 and 9:20 a.m. April 23, the paint on two cars was scratched with a sharp object in the 400 block of Seibert, causing $1,000 worth of damage; between 11 p.m. April 22 and 9 a.m. April 23, a car's paint was damaged in the 300 block of Seibert, causing $500 worth of damage; and between midnight and 6 a.m. April 23, a car's paint was damaged in the 300 block of Seibert. Estimated amount of damage was not known.

* A woman reported she was assaulted at 12:20 p.m. April 25 in the 90 block of Hanford Street.

The victim told police the suspect cut both of her legs with an unknown object after a physical confrontation.

* A 58-year-old Columbus man was arrested for disorderly conduct 6:30 p.m. April 24 at the intersection of Forest Street and Parsons Avenue.

Police said the man was drunk and was unable to care for himself.
