A string of thefts from automobiles was reported recently in the German Village area.

According to Columbus Division of Police incident reports:

* A $200 global positioning system was stolen at 10:55 a.m. July 7 in the 700 block of City Park Avenue.

* A $500 camouflage softball equipment bag was stolen between 10 and 10:30 a.m. June 7 in the 400 block of South Fourth Street.

* Change totaling $6 was stolen between 5 and 7:30 a.m. in the 600 block of South Grant Avenue.

* A checkbook, $25 speaker, $30 phone charger and $20 pair of binoculars were stolen between 8:45 a.m. July 6 and 7:45 a.m. July 8 in the 30 block of East Beck Street.

* A $500 laptop was stolen between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m. July 9 from the 100 block of East Willow Street.

* A $900 laptop, $120 cash, $100 wallet, $450 handbag, $575 rubber watch strap, $180 cell phone, $75 men's stainless steel necklace, $100 streaming device were stolen between 10:25 p.m. July 10 and 11:30 a.m. July 11 from the 200 block of Jackson Street.

* Knives valued at $100, a $100 flashlight and $100 cash were stolen between 3:25 p.m. July 11 and 3:25 July 12 from the 300 block of Sycamore Street.

* A $1,000 spare tire with aluminum rim was stolen between 1 and 4 p.m. July 7 from the 100 block of Thurman Avenue.

* A $75 GPS was stolen between 6:15 p.m. July 8 and 12:15 p.m. July 9 from the 30 block of Thurman Avenue.

In other crime recent police incident reports from the area:

* A Buick LeSabre, estimated value and manufacturing date not listed in the police report, was stolen between 12:15 and 6:30 p.m. July 11 in the 200 block of East Livingston Avenue.

Also, a 25-year-old man claimed his $50 wallet, $100 cellphone and $100 pair of shoes were stolen. The crime occurred near South Pearl Street and East Stewart Avenue.
