A Marble Cliff resident told Grandview Heights police Dec. 29 that someone had placed dozens of doughnuts and doughnut boxes in the front yard of her neighbor's house in the 1400 block of Cambridge Boulevard.

A Marble Cliff resident told Grandview Heights police Dec. 29 that someone had placed dozens of doughnuts and doughnut boxes in the front yard of her neighbor's house in the 1400 block of Cambridge Boulevard.

A large tire also was left on the front porch, she said.

The woman said she and her daughter cleaned up the yard because the neighbor was not home. A receipt found in the yard indicated the doughnuts had been purchased Dec. 28 from a shop on West Dublin-Granville Road in Columbus, reports said.

In other recent Grandview police reports:

* A resident of the 900 block of McClain Road reported Dec. 31 that several items were stolen overnight from her garage.

She said the garage had been locked the night before but she found the door had been raised and the items missing about 8 a.m. Dec. 31.

The missing items include tools, two power sanders, a leaf blower, a weed eater, an antique grandfather clock, an air compressor, a set of golf clubs and miscellaneous coins, according to reports.

* A driver stopped Dec. 30 for not having a front license plate later was arrested on a felony count of drug trafficking, reports said.

Breyon M. Miller, 28, of Huber Heights was arrested after police pulled him over about 9:30 p.m. Dec. 30 on West Fifth Avenue at Lincoln Road. While speaking to Miller, officers detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to reports. Miller consented to a search of the car and officers found 147.5 grams of marijuana packaged for sale, police said. He was taken to the Franklin County jail.

* Two cash drawers, one of which contained $100 in cash, were reported stolen from a business in the 1600 block of West First Avenue. The theft occurred between 3:15 p.m. Dec. 24 and 6 a.m. Dec. 28 when employees returned to work and discovered the missing items, reports said.
