The Grandview Area Chamber of Commerce will merge with the Upper Arlington chamber.

The Grandview Area Chamber of Commerce will merge with the Upper Arlington chamber.

The merger is expected to take effect Feb. 1. The new organization will be named The TriVillage Chamber Partnership.

Grandview chamber members voted to approve the merger Jan. 14 during the chamber's annual meeting.

Both the Grandview and Upper Arlington chambers' board of directors approved the merger before the members' votes.

Michelle Wilson will serve as the new organization's executive director. Wilson has been the Grandview chamber's executive director since May 2009. She has been assisting the UA chamber with its day-to-day duties since October 2015 after the chamber's previous director departed to pursue another opportunity.

The new organization's board of directors will include current board members from both Grandview and Upper Arlington. It also will include nonvoting representatives from the cities of Grandview and Upper Arlington, the village of Marble Cliff and the Grandview and Upper Arlington school districts.

Jamie Gentry of the Grandview chamber and Kevin Fix of the Upper Arlington chamber will serve as co-chairs of the board in 2016.
