Grandview police arrested two people March 31 on felony drug possession charges after finding cocaine in their vehicle.

The car was stopped for running a stop sign on Arlington Avenue at West Third Avenue, reports stated. After a criminal check revealed the two occupants had previously been arrested several times on drug-related charges, a K-9 unit was called to the scene.

Officers searched the car and found cocaine and drug paraphernalia, reports stated. Doug Ely, 47, of West Third Avenue, Marble Cliff, and Angela M. Finley, 44, of Ransburge Street in Columbus were arrested on felony possession charges, according to reports. Finley was also charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were taken to the Franklin County jail.

* Officers were dispatched April 2 to a construction site in the 800 block of Yard Street on a report of batteries being removed from four forklifts. The batteries were not stolen, but their removal had damaged the forklifts.

* An employee of a business in the 1000 block of Dublin Road reported April 1 that someone broke a window to enter the building and steal an unknown amount of money.

* A resident in the 1000 block of West Second Avenue reported April 2 a credit card account was opened in his name without his authorization. He told police he received a bill in the mail from the credit card company. The company is investigating the matter, reports stated.
