Chelsea Mondesir of Grove City recently received an honorable mention in the National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts Young Arts program.

Chelsea Mondesir of Grove City recently received an honorable mention in the National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts Young Arts program.

She is a senior at Columbus School for Girls, where she sings with the CSG Grace Notes and the Upper School Choir. Mondesir received an honorable mention in the soprano division of the contest, along with a check for $250. To be eligible for the honor, Mondesir submitted a DVD for her evaluation portfolio. There are 6,000 to 8,000 applicants each year, and the top 10 percent are recognized by the NFAA.
