The Grove City Lions Club is offering fruit for sale, with delivery promised in time for Christmas.

Navel oranges and pink grapefruit from Florida are available in one-quarter bushel bags for $12.50; in two-fifths bushel boxes for $17; and in one-half peck fruit baskets. The fruit baskets include oranges, grapefruit, apples, pears, candy and assorted nuts and cost $17.

To order, email dave@dave-dildine.com and give a name, contact number and the kind and quantity of each fruit order being placed.

The fruit will be ready for delivery on Dec. 10.

Funds raised through this project will help the Grove City Lions Club’s ongoing campaign against blindness.

Kiourtsis Orthodontics will host a candy buy-back program to support the U.S. troops.

Individuals can bring in leftover, wrapped Halloween candy and Kiourtsis will buy it for $1 per pound. A maximum of 10 pounds of candy can be submitted per person.

Individuals also are invited to write a letter of thanks sharing appreciation for military heroes.

The buy-back is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 at the Hilliard office, 4440 Avery Road.

At the Grove City location, the buy-back is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at 4166 Hoover Road.

Honor Flight Columbus will host its fourth annual reunion from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at Veterans Memorial, 300 W. Broad St.

The public is welcome to attend and salute the lives and contributions of World War II veterans.
