* Kids N Books, 4 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 19. Grades K-4 can visit each station for crafts and activities on the theme "Be Careful What You Eat!" No registration required.

* Military History Series, 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19. Local author Jeffrey T. Owens and retired USMC Master Sgt. Stephen Walter for the first of three programs about the causes, battles and results of World War I.

* Library Dance Party, 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. Dancers ages 1-7 are invited to a program of music, stories and dancing. Grown-ups can dance, too.

* Drop-in Fun, week of Nov. 23. "Thankful for Thanksgiving" is the theme of this week of interactive crafts and activities.

* LEGO Club, 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24. Work individually or in teams. The weekly challenge will be revealed at the program.

* Tuesday Tech Help, 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays. Basic computer instruction or an introduction to a variety of devices. Call ext. 503 to schedule a one-hour session.

* Warm Up Westland, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18. Join library staff and other crafters as we knit and crochet projects to be given to charity. Bring your own yarn or dip in to our small stash. Crafters also can bring their own projects.

* Disney Movie Saturdays, 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. Enjoy a classic Disney movie rated G or PG with popcorn. No registration required.

* International Games Day, 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. Join more than 1,000 libraries around the world for the eighth annual celebration of International Games Day @ Your Library. Table top games, card games, classic games -- the library has them, or you can bring your own. All ages and skill levels welcome. Refreshments will be served. No registration required.
